Undergraduate
Class standing is determined at the beginning of each fall term based on the number of academic units earned which fulfill requirements in the student’s degree program as follows:
| Units earned | Class standing |
| 0–31 units | Freshman standing |
| 32–63 units | Sophomore standing |
| 64–95 units | Junior standing |
| 96+ units | Senior standing |
Please note that grades of W, I, MG, P, and AU are not included in computing class standing. Transfer units are counted in determining class standing.
