COD: Mobile is one of the most popular multiplayer shooters for smartphones and tablets.

COD: Mobile allows you to play matches both for fun or competitive ‘Ranked’. The game also offers multiple game modes directly inherited from the consoles games.

One of the most popular COD series game modes is the ‘Zombies mode’. As its name suggests, it challenges you to survive waves of undead with your weapons while completing objectives.

COD: Mobile also offered ‘Zombies mode’, but this was temporary, as the developers decided to remove it. However, this decision did not please many players (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12). .

Currently, hundreds of COD: Mobile gamers are demanding the return of ‘Zombies mode’, something the development team might be working on (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).

COD: Mobile ‘Zombies mode’ removal was not well received

Many players have expressed their discontent with the decision to remove the COD: Mobile Zombies mode. Apparently, it was one of the favorite game modes among the community.

The removal of COD: Mobile ‘Zombies mode’ brought another issue that affects the storage capacity of the player’s device.

Apparently, although the game mode is no longer present, the ‘Zombies mode’ data packs remain on the device.

Dev team allegedly working on returning Zombies to COD: Mobile

According to some players (1, 2, 3, 4), the COD: Mobile development team confirmed at an event that they are working on returning Zombies mode in future.

More specifically, the words of the development team reportedly were the following:

There are currently no compensation plans for those who have pending shards, mainly because we would like to leave open the possibility of bringing back Undead Siege (Zombies Mode).

We are working on finding a way to bring Classic Zombies mode to the global version of the game. Source

That said, the confirmation has not yet been published on any of the company’s social networks or web platforms yet.

However, the alleged statements from the COD: Mobile development team did not offer any details about an ETA for the return of Zombies mode.
