Effect

A Coin Case with 150 coins in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Passive effect

The Coin Cases holds coins, the currency of the Celadon Game Corner, Goldenrod Game Corner, Mauville Game Corner, and Veilstone Game Corner. The player needs this item in the Bag in order to purchase or otherwise obtain any coins, play the games, or exchange coins for prizes.

In the Generation I, II, and III games, the Coin Case can hold up to 9,999 coins; in the Generation IV games, the Coin Case can hold up to 50,000 coins. Any excess coins the player would receive are lost, and the player is prohibited from purchasing more coins.

The Joyful Game Corner and the Game Corner in Mossdeep City do not require the Coin Case.

Manual activation

When used from the Bag in the overworld, the Coin Case tells the player how many coins they have.
