Recently retired NFL reporter Michele Tafoya covered her last Super Bowl this past weekend and it didn't take her long to go after Colin Kaepernick. Right after calling it quits, she appeared on Sirius XM's The Megyn Kelly show to blast Kaepernick by stating he truly didn't care about playing football. Completely missing the point of the activism Kaepernick was trying to do throughout the years. Back when she was representing the NFL, Tafoya was always careful and tried to keep her opinions to herself. Now that she's recently retired, she is definitely pulling no punches and speaking her mind.

Nobody is taking anything away from the career she had, for 30 years she did her job in brilliant fashion. Now that she made the decision to retire from this reporting gig, she even seems like she is trying to get herself into politics. Also, there was an appearance she made on the Tucker Carlson show where she openly criticizes critical race theory. A school of thought that studies the decades upon decades of racism in America, a theory that chooses to openly acknowledge all that baggage and refuses to try to start with an clean slate when most of us know that's impossible.

Colin Kaepernick hasn't responded yet.

What Colin Kaepernick was trying to achieve with his kneeling and protesting is something that African American people still struggle with every day. Unfortunately, not much has changed with racism in America. It has only morphed into other types of racism and corporate slavery. As of right now, the former NFL quarterback hasn't responded to Tafoya's views on his activism. He sure would find her statement on Fox News quite interesting to disect: "It breaks my heart that my kids are being taught that skin color matters. Why are we separating our kids?" the former sports reporter said. "The world is integrated. Let's continue that and have everyone find out what we all have in common. Not just what we have in common with people who look like us."
