So Very Lovely

ColourPop So Very Lovely 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new palette that really feels like it straddles the traditional colors of spring and summer, so it actually seemed like a very well-timed release. It included six matte eyeshadows and six shimmer eyeshadows with no pressed glitters (but three pressed pigments if that’s a concern). Overall, the palette was pigmented, blendable, and easy to use with a few shades being more semi-opaque or a touch harder to blend.

Lace Up

Lace Up is a light, peachy gold with strong, warm undertones and faint pink pearl. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was easy to work with on bare skin. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Organza is a medium mauve with warmer undertones and a metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, almost cream-like texture that was moderately dense but not too thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan. The eyeshadow wore well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Fringed

Fringed is a light-medium, golden pewter with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that was best applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush to get even coverage and minimal (to no) fallout. The texture was lightly emollient to the touch, more loosely-pressed but not dry. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Eyelet

Eyelet is a medium, orange-coral with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, while the texture was slightly thinner and stiffer, so it could have been more blendable. There was a little bit of fallout during application, too, and I found it was more forgiving of texture when used with an eyeshadow primer. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Dream Catcher

Dream Catcher is a rich, medium-dark copper with moderate, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow was richly pigmented with a smooth, more velvety texture that was a smidgen powdery in the pan but had great adhesion and blendability on the lid without being prone to fallout. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.

The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Tea Time

Tea Time is a medium copper with warmer, more orange undertones and gold pearl. It had opaque color payoff that adhered well to bare skin with a smooth, even lay down of product that blended out nicely along the edges. The texture was lightly creamy, moderately dense but not overly thick. This shade wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Collective

Collective is a medium-dark pink with subtle, cooler undertones and warmer, gold and pink pearl that gave it a metallic finish. The texture was soft, slightly powdery in the pan, but it had good adhesion to bare skin and blended well. The eyeshadow yielded opaque pigmentation that stayed on nicely for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Topanga Blvd

Topanga Blvd is a rich, reddened burgundy with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color payoff paired with a slightly firmer texture that had no fallout but could have been a touch more blendable. It lasted decently for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.

The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.
