Trade Journals

A trade journal is a publication whose target audience is people who work in or are very familiar with the trade or industry which the journal covers. Trade journals publish cutting-edge information and developments in the particular industry and includes specific advertising geared to the target audience. Check out Virginia Tech's guide to magazines, trade journals, and scholarly journals. It provides an excellent chart detailing the difference between the three types of journals.
