Songfacts®:

  • "Come Through" is a slow jam where H.E.R. and Chris Brown sing of coordinating a meet-up. The implication is the two have other partners, as theirs is a sneaky rendezvous. You can slide too on the low, a remote locationI don't want them see me gettin' fadedThere is a mutual attraction between the singers and they've desired a hookup for a long time.Fighting it off, you been fighting me off for weeksDon't leave, 'cause I need ya
  • The pair toured together during Brown's 2018 Heartbreak On A Full Moon tour in 2018, and collaborated on "Come Together" the following year. That song, from Breezy's Indigo album, has a similar theme of two love interests talking about getting together for the night. Brown has also featured on a couple of H.E.R. remixes; for "Focus" (Remix) (2018) and "Slide" (2020).
  • The two artists wrote the song alongside H.E.R.'s frequent collaborator Tiara Thomas ("Damage," "Fight For You") and the track's producer, Cardiak.
