Concerned About Saggy Balls? Let's Talk Testicles! - Bella Vou
Maybe your like
Over the last year Bella Vou has seen a large increase in the number of men opting for a Scrotal Uplift procedure. With new increased awareness being raised to check your testicles regularly for lumps, you may well be paying more attention to them and not feeling particularly comfortable with what you see. Just like with any part of the body your testicles could be heading south and no longer be as ‘pert’ as you would like. Alternatively, there may be a functional problem, which can cause you discomfort or during exercise you could have excessive sweating which lead to rashes in that area. It could be affecting your confidence in the bedroom to.
Although it’s traditionally been considered a taboo subject, with men choosing to suffer in silence rather than admit they’re unhappy with their testicles through fear of ridicule and it not being considered ‘manly’ by their peers. With the media and celebrities being more open when it comes to talking about their penises it has paved the way for men to be able to have a more open discussion about their own. Here are just a few celebrities who have openly discussed their man parts with honesty!
Daniel Radcliffe talking to the New York Times on being naked onstage:
You tighten up like a Hamster, the first time it happened, I turned around and went, you know, there’s a thousand people here, and I don’t think even one of them would expect you to look your best in this situation. I am terribly self-conscious.
Jimmy Kimmel during a comedy roast session:
The vein in Tommy Lee’s penis is bigger than my entire penis
Ben Affleck thinks 3-D enhances his when talking about the Gone Girl movie:
I try to get it out in every movie, the penis is in there! It’s IMAX penis! You’ve got to pay fifteen bucks to see it in 3-D… it’s better in 3-D.
What does a Scrotal Uplift procedure involve?
At Bella Vou we listen to your concerns and assess the cause, symptoms and the extent of your scrotal laxity. The procedure lasts about an hour, but this is depending on the extent of the skin laxity. The cosmetic surgery for scrotal uplift is a simple ‘walk-in/walk-out’ local anaesthetic procedure, so you can go home the same day. You will be treated with dignity during your treatment process and with confidence. Our male surgeons understand the sensitive nature of this procedure and will help to put you at ease.
How is a Scrotal Uplift procedure performed?
Watch Bella Vou’s surgeon Amir Nakhdjevani explain how the procedure is performed.
How long will it take to heal after a Scrotal Uplift procedure?
The scars heal within 10 to 14 days. Patients may find some mild discomfort for 3 to 5 days and are expected to go back to their daily activities and work at 1 week. The results are very natural and although you can see the improvement soon after surgery it will continue to improve for the next 6 weeks before you can see the final result.
Will I be in pain after a Scrotal Uplift?
With any male, as soon as we think about our testicles we wince at the thought of any trauma to them, but don’t be alarmed as with all surgical procedures there will be some discomfort after surgery, but this can be effectively managed with rest and painkillers.
Will there be visible scars after a Scrotal Uplift?
The scars are well hidden and placed in areas less visible to the naked eye so no one will be able to tell you’ve had the procedure unless you tell them. Absorbable sutures are used which are more comfortable and do not require for you to return to the clinic to have them removed.
When will I be able to resume sexual activities after a Scrotal Uplift?
Sexual intercourse and masturbation is not recommended for a minimum of at least two weeks after the procedure. This is to allow the scars to heal and the agitation caused by either intercourse or masturbating mechanically will open up the suture line. After two weeks, depending on how the wound is healing, these activities can be cautiously resumed. Having an erection will not be a problem as it will not break open the stitches, but for the first four weeks the wound strength is not enough to be held closed with just the stitches.
If a Scrotal Uplift procedure is something that you have been considering, please book in for your complimentary consultation with us and know that you’re in good hands.
