Conch Size Guide

Finding your perfect conch piercing size depends on a couple of factors:

• Your individual anatomy - everyone's ears are different so the diameter you need will be based on your skin thickness and ear shape. Unfortunately body jewellery isn't universal, so what works for one person may not necessarily work for you. 
• Your piercing placement - a conch piercing can pierced either closer to the edge of the ear for wearing a hoop or further in the centre for a flat-back labret, so this can be the biggest factor to take into consideration when choosing the correct size for your conch piercing.

Recommended Jewellery Sizes - Gauge: 16g (1.2mm)- Bar Length: 5mm - 8mm- Inner Diameter: 10mm - 14mm Cartilage Hoops Generally conch hoops range from 10mm upwards, sometimes as large as 14mm. Those with smaller ears or with a conch pierced closer to the edge of the ear may need a 10mm for a tighter fit. Ideally, you want the hoop to be comfortable but snug, with little movement or drooping.Cartilage StudsA conch cartilage stud should measure 16 gauge and be a suitable style that is comfortable and skin-friendly. A conch is normally pierced with a 16g flat-back stud with a longer bar such as 8mm or 10mm to allow for swelling, once this swelling subsides you will need to downsize the bar to a shorter length to help with the healing process.It's usually a process of trial and error to find your perfect fit, however we always recommend visiting your local piercing studio who carried out your piercing as they will be able to measure your ear and offer some professional advice.
