Given 94% while driving a Subaru (235/65 R17) on a combination of roads for 40 average miles I drive a 2017 Subaru Outback and I have these tires on all four wheels. I am a healthcare professional and It is imperative that I get to my patients homes regardless of what the weather is, my Subaru salesman suggested to me that I take the original tires off and put on Continental True Contacts because of my job duties traveling from home to home thru all types of weather. This is my THIRD set of Continental True Contacts on this vehicle. I use these tires primarily in the spring, summertime and in the fall up to about November when I will switch to my Continental snow tires. It was my first set of Continental True Contacts that convinced me that these were the best in the summer on dry, in the rain and as well as in the snow! In the dry these tires are phenomenal they grip extremely well especially for aggressive maneuvers that I have to make at times when people aren't paying attention to what's going on on the road, when I have to swerve to go around them my confidence is extremely high with these tires. The same holds true in the rain. As a point, when I am on the highway and there are very few cars around, I am passing a lot of cars because they seem to slow down in the rain but my confidence with these tires on my vehicle is high. I can still feel exactly what the vehicle is doing and it gives me ample warning as to how progressive the tires are at their limit. Because of the way the tires handled the dry and the way they handle especially in the wet and my using them my first year in the Snow, I am on my Third pair of Continental True Contacts and I will NOT switch to anything else, because of the safety and real Confidence they provide. As I stated earlier, It is imperative that I get to my patients homes to complete their healthcare needs. My first winter with these tires on at the end of November, we had roughly two inches of snow on the ground one morning, and they got me exactly where I needed to go 30 mi away no slips, slides, scary moments! Other people were slipping and sliding on the road, but I just took my time. These tires gripped that 2 inches of snow exceptionally well and I got to where I needed to better than most other tires would have, at least on a vehicles around me. As for how the tires gripped on the ice? The one main example I have is: going across a bridge that had a slight tilt to the left and was a sheet of Black Ice, two cars Slid into each other and it seemed that no one could get to the center of the bridge to help check to see if the passengers were okay. The Police vehicle that apparently has snow tires on it could not get to the center of the bridge either and he was walking out ! I put my car in first gear and very slowly crept out onto the bridge to where the people were. We both got to wear the people were and they both were okay. In that process of me leaving the scene, the Policeman asked me what kind of tires I had on my vehicle to make it out to where he could not make it ? I told him Continental True Contacts and he stated to me," I wish I had those on this vehicle"pointing back to his vehicle. He was very impressed ! I also reminded him that Subaru's do handle differently in extreme weather situations but the tires are the largest part of the equation. As a note he was driving a rear wheel drive only vehicle. Helpful 954 October 9, 2023 Given 87% while driving a Buick (235/55 R17) on mostly motorways for 20,000 average miles The tire has super low road noise that comes through the cabin, and in the wet handles very well and provides added confidence but still let's you know when you're starting to lose grip, and no complaints in the dry. Helpful 936 June 18, 2023 Given 87% while driving a Toyota Prius (185/65 R15) on mostly town for 15 easy going miles Fantastic tire in its category. We had already tried all the other major tire brands/models in this category because we needed all-season tires that could work well in the rains of summer through the snow of winter and still give good fuel economy. This was the only model of tore that we had not tried so I though to give it a chance and I was shocked to find that its superior to the other major brands in this category even though its the lowest cost Continental in this category. The rain and snow grip is clearly superior, amazingly so, I was shocked to find that I could climb the steep hill that we live on with ease even with several inches of fresh snow on the ground. We were able to document several cross country trips of several thousand miles each on the tires and found that they delivered at least 3 MPG more than all the other tires we have tested, so we are extremely pleased with the amazing performance of this low cost model. PS it is rated for 80,000 miles so it also offers very long life as well. Given 93% while driving a Toyota Prius (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10 average miles An amazing all season tire, so good that we now have them on all our cars. We fid the wet weather performance inspires confidence, we have tried many all season tires over many years in our small car collection and this is the best all around al season tire, by a significant amount. Our records clearly show better fuel economy than all the other tires we have ever used which we found quite surprising. Performance in the snow is surprisingly good for an all season tire and is clearly the best we have ever driven, by far. We do not get deep snow here but then again we would not attempt to drive in deep snow, we would simply wait fo the roads to be plowed clear but with a reasonable about of snow these tires grip so well that we don't even notice the snow. Overall this is a comfortable, quiet, dependable, confidence inspiring tire that delivers the best fuel economy we have ever recorded and comes with a phenomenal long treadwear warranty that helps us keep out costs low.
