One day contains 86400 seconds. Respectively one second is equal to 1/86400 day. How many seconds in 2 days? It is obvious, two days contain 172800 seconds. So, two seconds are equal to 2/86400 days. How many seconds are in 24 hours? All we know that 24 hours are equal to one day. One day = 24 hours = 86400 seconds. | WhiteSonic86: 2017-03-09 23:58:51Hi 1 day contains 86400 seconds ... BUT ... What is a real day to seconds? I sleep 8 hours = 28800 seconds. I work 8 hours = 28800 seconds. I do something 8 hours = 28000 seconds. Then I eat 2 hours per day = 7200 seconds. I go to a job and back 2 hours per day = 7200 seconds. Left 4 hours = 14400 seconds. SO USUAL DAY IS 14400 SECONDS. |
| Guest: 2017-05-24 10:50:59Basic unit of SI measurement system is one second [t] = 1 s. 1 second is equal to 1/86 400 average sun day. Now second is described more precisely. Nowadays atoms processes is used to measure time. Science and technology of accurate measurements need very small units of time. 1 millisecond (1 ms) = 0.001 s, 1 microsecond ( 1 μs) = 0.000 001 s, 1 nanosecond (1 ns) = 0.000 000 001 s, 1 picoseconds (ps 1) = 0.000 000 000 001 s. Time is measured using clocks. If you want to measure small periods of time in minutes, seconds and mili second, you will be able to do it with a device, called a stopwatch (especially popular in sport events). |
| Time Guest: 2018-04-23 08:02:23Not trying to make you look bad lol, but there is 86,400 seconds in one day, multiplying that by 365 is 31,536,000 seconds in 1 year. We really would be millionaires by your seconds definition, after about 11.5740741 days. Sorry but your if you're saying that it would be 1 million seconds after 12 years, then your really far off, 12 years would actually be 378,432,000 seconds. No worries though, better to know the right awnser than believe something that isn't correct, plus finding out online is better than finding out in an argument with someone in person in my opinion, don't have to deal with that embarrassing moment. |
| Jim: 2021-01-01 11:11:11These tables about dependency between days and seconds are very useful for me. I can understand the amount of time that I measure with clocks. I know what does it mean. A second is a very short interval. It is an integer number in daily life. A day is not an integer one because I can say that something has happened half a day ago. So measurement of seconds and days is different in domestic usage. Usual clocks are devices that do not show part of seconds. |
| John: 2021-01-11 01:03:06Time is a long line. Clocks are designed to work simultaneously using intervals. That's the purpose of a clock. So if someone takes a bunch of precise clocks, they still have the same time. If not, we can not measure time and understand each other. The reason of the misunderstanding is that some clocks are broken. Consumers will suffer a loss. But all we agree that an error of a few seconds means nothing in ordinary life. Our experience confirms that fact. But if we take special situations which appear in the finance world, bank or cryptocurrency trade, the second is everything. You can lose your million USD extremely fastly. So it is nothing wrong to think about short intervals of time. All in all, we believe in the idea about time that works very well in our daily life. But in physics, it can be a different view of the phenomenon, where scientist predicts a multi-dimensional universe. |
| Mike: 2024-11-01 06:34:00The unit of time, referred to as the second, has a specific and precise definition: one second is defined as precisely 9,192,631,770 periods of radiation that correspond to the transition between two hyperfine energy levels of the ground state of the cesium-133 (Cs) atom. This definition was established in 1967 and serves as the current standard. To fulfill the standard of the unit, scientists operate the properties of cesium microwave radiation, which operates at a frequency of around 9.192631770 × 10^9 hertz (Hz). This, at first glance, is complicated, but not; microwave radiation is created when the energy transitions of cesium atoms, allowing for extremely accurate timekeeping. In worldwide solutions, this precise measurement enables the synchronization of time globally. Thats true. Therefore, it impacts various fields of activity and usage, such as telecommunications, navigation, and scientific research. Much more activities are involved here. The concept of 'soaking' is related to the capacity of real properties or modern instruments that can absorb and utilize these 9 192 631 770 periods of atomic radiation to accurately define specific intervals of time. These clocks are based on cesium-133. But we think about future activities. Advancements in technology may soon lead to the development of more developed frequency generators. They, of course, will offer even greater precision than current atomic devices. All in all, this evolution of time devices and standards reflects the ongoing processes of precision and the spectrum of new events of scientific measurement. |
Mike: 2025-04-29 02:48:26 About days and seconds. About the future ... And indeed, put yourself in the place of the heroes of the novel: with the scale of the existence of the described society, which has already directly, immediately begun to comprehend the deepest secrets of the Universe, which came into contact with other such societies, which are faced with tasks and projects of literally cosmic proportions - what is the endless ritual remembrance of the past to them? What was - this will be recorded by the collective memory of mankind, will be included in the annals, described in textbooks, the preserved will be placed in museums, but it is stupid to demand from people the same involvement as in moments of past events when they have a living and filled with events and accomplishments present. You can be involved in what is really happening. And what happened — it happened. It is gone. A real connection between times is not provided by monuments, not by rituals of ancestor worship, and not by retelling epics about past exploits, but by participating in one cause, the notorious common cause, when you continue what you started. The more literal, the better. The grandson who knows this forest himself and continues to plant it will understand best about the grandfather who planted it. The only person who can best understand something about Einstein is the one who flew in the cockpit of a spaceship, saw the blackness of space, and then picked at the burnt hull of the ship with his fingernail. Today's cosplayers do not understand and do not want to understand that the future does not happen on its own. It must be created. Also, quite literally: in order to ride motorcycles and discuss them in a hundred years, someone had to build a factory a hundred years ago and make those motorcycles. In the meantime... An invisible line increasingly separates us from the past. And it is offensive that many of those whom you have the misfortune to see - it would be better not to see, and those with whom you would like to be together - are long gone and did not even exist before I was born. Now you can't call, now you can't get through to you. And you can't say at least a few words to you. And nothing can be done about this inevitability. Which, on the one hand, is scary, and on the other hand, quite clearly gives a purpose and meaning to the existence of reason: to make it so that inevitability ceases to be inevitability. It is impossible to turn back time, but perhaps it is possible to make it cease to matter, so that it is impossible to be late. Take the Universe into your own hands and do not go with the flow of the laws of nature, but set it yourself. Now, this is the most global and most distant visible goal, and any movement in the current moment should be considered in the context of compliance with this ultimate goal. | Use username: Guest, Anonymous, Programmer QUOTES, SAYINGS: | The pioneers of a warless world are the youth that refuse military service.Albert Einstein | New members are urgently needed in the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Yourself.
