Anon: 2017-02-06 09:27:57 What is a year? A year is planet’s time to make one cycle around the sun. It is easy to explain, how the year is linked to orbit of the Earth around the sun. Lets take one lamp and a potato. Potato represents the Earth, as well as the lamp represents the sun. Then slowly move potato around the lamp. One period of the motion is one year. Simple!!! The calendar (Julian year) contains 365.25 days of 86400 seconds = 31557600 seconds totally. So one year contains about one hundred thousands seconds. After twelve years all of us are millionaires, because we have been living 1 000 000 seconds. Great number. So, we have about five, nine millions seconds and that’s all!!! Don’t waste your years in vain!!! The year is closely related with such a concept as calendar. Yearly calendar is very important service, commonly needed by all humanity. |

| Guest: 2020-10-07 02:14:44The number of (whole) days in in 5 years will vary depending on the range of years taken. If only one leap year is included, the number is 1826, two leap years (i.e. 1st and 5th year) - 1827. If the range spans a century year not divisible by 200 and thus not a leap year, such as 1900, the number is 1825. |
| Scholar: 2021-01-01 08:26:20What is the time? Can you smell it or touch it? |
| Jim: 2021-01-14 08:47:36Time is an outside approximation. Sophisticated clocks can resolve probably the problem. Nevertheless, what is a tenth of a second if you're a musician? Will you be better after that tenth of a second? However, one year and one day is a long interval of time for the musician. In fact, people work and perform general activities and they do not observe time as a phenomenon. Time is some kind of activity for them. Going to a bank, taking a loan, or playing with currency is a process. The solution about time is not presented there. There is no objective to comprehend deeper. From the side of science, it is a different view. Everything here can be astonishing because it is unclear what is real what is not. Is a Roman Empire real? No. It was real in the past, but not now. So, if this now is only local and if it's something happening in a distant place it is not real. The confusion appears. What does this mean to be real after we have understood how the world works? Some philosophers discuss it. So life is like a little bubble we can talk about. There are a series of events in the universe with some temporal relation between and a couple of them are not related. |
| Mark: 2024-02-26 04:29:11Events and days per year, a purely applied, extremely ephemeral thing, is a bright and instructive sign of its time, perhaps more apparent than objects of so-called high culture. It is intended to serve for a year, but at the same time, it has the property of getting stuck in the memory for decades. The illustrious poet and prose writer Squirrel Kim Kim offers the reader his understanding of the year, where each day is marked by some event, recollection, and eloquent detail preserved by the capricious memory, in which the era is strangely and surprisingly refracted... Where ordinary everyday trifles suddenly amaze with the unexpected depth and warmth of living life, his eloquence sure to captivate. |
| Marry: 2025-02-26 04:37:03Every day per year is considered a family celebration, it should be celebrated at a large table in the company of family or friends. Nowadays, more and more people celebrate life differently: on the beach, at karaoke, or without company. But let's talk about the New Year a bit. In our family, it was never a goal to celebrate New Year in a big company. On New Year's Eve, my relatives and I often walked with dogs (we always had many), wandered in the snow, talked, and admired the fireworks. At university, I celebrated [New Year] with friends several times but felt I was just at a weekly Friday party. So, since I was 20, I devised my ritual of celebrating New Year-a ritual that involves reflection, solitude, and the embrace of the unknown. On December 31 at 11:30 pm in the new year, I call a taxi, put on my nicest clothes, take a bottle of champagne, and go to the Train Station building. At midnight, I go out onto the empty pier, where there is a ringing silence, and open the champagne - terrific and atmospheric. Sometimes, I take confetti with me. We feel tiny "here and now" - because we always think about the past or plan the future. Standing alone on the pier at the turn of the Old and New years, I feel this moment. I tell myself that I leave everything that worried me in the past year in it, and a new stage begins. This ritual is a time for deep self-reflection, a moment to let go of the past and embrace the future. After that, I returned to my area in New York, where there were few people then, and sometimes I would walk along the side streets until three in the morning. Accurate, on December 31, I often work, so after celebrating the New Year at the Train Station, I usually call a taxi home and go to bed. | Use username: Guest, Anonymous, Programmer FACTS ABOUT COUNTRIES: | Argentina.
