The unit Corrin (Also known as My Unit) is the main character in Fire Emblem: Fates. Corrin's name, gender, voice and appearance can be customized by the player at the start of the game.

Players can also choose from a list of "boons and banes" that give them increased growth in one stat, and less in the other. A secondary class can also be chosen that can be achieved using a Second Seal later in the game. Corrin is the only character who can support every other unit in the game.

Boon and Bane

Upon creating your ideal Corrin, you'll be able to choose one Boon and Bane, as well as a talent. Boon is a stat that will increase beyond its default, and increase chance for growth, while Bane will lower a stat below its default, and lessen the growth rate chance. Corrin's talent is the secondary class that can be unlocked through use of a Second Seal.
