When I first arrived in Italy, I had the opportunity to visit an archaeological site that was sacred to the indigenous pagans in the area. Alone, I thought this would be a great time to do some shamanic work and try to connect with any of the local spirits who might be around. Not only was I given the gift of many new insights, but I had the uncanny feeling that the Spirits of the Land and Sky were preparing a project for me. At the time I had no idea what that project was going to be, but I now understand it to be, at least in part, the writing of this book. An invitation to learn about witchcraft, what it is and how to do it. We will then fly up to the present day, when millions of people across the world are identifying as witches and pagans at a time when nature is at serious risk and Western society desperately needs to be enchanted.
