Covered Bridge Festival - Visit Washington County, PA

Who is hosting this event? Does Washington County Tourism run this event? Partly - we operate the Ebenezer Bridge site in Mingo Creek County Park. The other 8 sites are operated by various other organizations - scroll down and download the brochure to read about who manages what site and contact them if you have questions about any other site that's not Ebenezer.

What are the event dates and times? The festival is always the third weekend in September and is open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

What is the parking situation? Is there handicapped parking? Parking is free at all sites. Please know that each of the bridges are usually located in outdoor parks or other areas with the exception of the Pine Bank Covered Bridge. You will most likely be parked in grass or gravel, but it depends on the site. In general, handicapped parking is available and at some sites a parking attendant should be able to help you.

How can I be a vendor for this event?

Please contact the organizer of the site you wish to be a vendor at - click here for vendor information.

Is the event accessible? Keep in mind that all of the bridge sites are located in outdoor parks with grass, gravel or uneven ground. For specific questions about accessibility at each of the sites, we suggest contacting the organizer of each site.

How can I know what sort of vendors, food and activities are at each site?

Scroll down on this page and download the Covered Bridge Festival brochure! Each site has a full list of all the food, activities and demonstrations that will be present at each site.

Why is there traffic at sites like Ebenezer?

Ebenezer is easily the largest and most popular bridge site, and it receives a huge influx of traffic as volunteers attempt to quickly park dozens of cars at the same time. The road in and out of Mingo Creek County Park is a one way during the festival for safety reasons, as the road is very narrow. Over the years, much work has been done to streamline the parking process, so please be patient with parking volunteers. If you wish to visit Ebenezer but don't want to wait a few minutes to get parked, we suggest visiting on Sunday when traffic is generally lighter, or visiting another bridge site, as they all have wonderful vendors, food options and unique events.

Is this event free or paid? Free.

Are pets allowed? Pet policies vary by site, but pets are not permitted at sites like Ebenezer, Henry, Pine Bank and White.

I have a question not on this list. Who do I contact? Please contact the organizer of the site you have questions about.

Note: For the most accurate and up-to-date information, always refer to the event’s official website or contact the event organizer directly.
