Papu Papu, the tribal chief of the indigenous people of the island, will be your first boss. The fight takes place in a circular room. Papu Papu will always stay in the center and will bend down to spin his club, at which point Crash can hop on him. Otherwise, when the club approaches, jump over it. Occasionally, the boss will try to hit Crash and, after missing him, he will stay still for a few moments. At this moment, Crash can jump on his back. Do this three times (or five times in the Japanese version) and Papu Papu will be defeated. Considering the fact that a double Aku Aku protection is also provided for free before battle, winning this fight should be simple.
