UPDATE 2: 9 vehicles involved in crash that shut Route 22 East in Lehigh County, police say

UPDATE: The crash was reported cleared shortly before 8 p.m.

CLEARED: Multi vehicle crash on US 22 eastbound between PA 309 South and PA 229/Cedar Crest Blvd.

INITIAL POST: A crash involving multiple vehicles closed Route 22 East on Thursday evening in Lehigh County.

The crash closed all eastbound lanes, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said about 5:45 p.m.

UPDATE: Multi vehicle crash on US 22 eastbound between PA 309 South and PA 229/Cedar Crest Blvd. All lanes closed.

It remained closed as of 6:15 p.m.
