Face Mask DIY: Create Your Own Washable Face Mask With Coffee Filter InsertShare
Fashion Design Program Director Sara Armstrong shows how easy it is to create your own washable face mask. You can also create extras and donate them where they are needed most!
Watch the full step by step video above as Fashion Department Associate Director and Blanche Grad Sara Armstrong breaks it down, using everyday materials, to create a custom, washable face mask with an insertable coffee filter. Make a mask for personal use, or to donate to someone in need.

Download Sara’s printable pattern pdf here. Happy creating! Tag us on @blancheworld to show us your mask!
*Please note that these masks are not medical grade and are meant to offer a protective layer. We advise everyone to do their research about homemade face masks and make decisions best suited to themselves.
For those who have extra time to make more masks, there is a Facebook Group you can join who can assist you in getting your masks to where they are needed most. (link below)
All you need is a sewing machine, even if you don’t have supplies, join this Facebook group to connect with people who can arrange to mail supplies to you, and also pick up completed masks.
