This is a crochet pattern review for the Letter A Alphabet Kawaii Cuddler crochet pattern by 3amGraceDesigns

Welcome to the August Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen!
This month, I am sharing a crochet pattern review for a crocheted letter A. Not too long ago, 3amGraceDesigns came out with the entire alphabet in kawaii cuddler form, and it immediately went up on my wish list. While I couldn’t afford to buy the whole bundle at once (though it’s a great deal!), I did go ahead and buy the letter A so I could work on a project for our newest little cousin, Ava.
Materials:
- Small Amount of Red Heart’s Super Saver in Medium Purple
- H8/5mm Crochet Hook
- #18 Tapestry Needle
- Letter A Alphabet Kawaii Cuddler, Paid Crochet Pattern from 3amGraceDesigns
Yarn Alternatives:
Caron’s One Pound, and Bernat’s Super Value.
Time Spent:
It took me just under one hour to work up this letter A.
Measurements:
Mine: 4″ Across Top of Letter, 8.75″ Across Bottom of Letter by 9.38″ Tall
Original Pattern: 10.5″ by 10″
Pattern Notes:
I loved working up this letter. While the pattern is written a little different than the traditional pattern, it was still really easy to follow, and the letter seemed to work up really fast.

One thing I am not crazy about – sewing the letter together mid-way. It’s hard to see in the photo, but it’s whipstitched together on the right side right along the bottom of the inside triangle. While it isn’t that obvious, I can see it on mine, and don’t like it.
Next time, I will fasten off the same, but when I work the next round of the other “leg”, I will work a chain across the bottom of the inside triangle, and then continue working in single crochet along the other “leg”.
How about that fabric?! Sweet little Ava’s room is wildflower themed, so I went to JoAnn’s, and searched through their fabric until I found one that spoke to me, then I went to the Red Heart Super Saver, and found found one that matched it. I plan on creating a wall hanger as a gift.
