Q: I just received it in the mail, but there is no expiration date? I find that highly unprofessional and dangerous, as a healthcare professional.

I just called PB (800-717-3786), the expiration date is printed under LOT, with the lot# printed under EXP. Hence, the factory printed them reverse to the preprint on the box. So I don't have LOT NO 21, I have expiration date NO 21 (November 21). Feel free to call PB at the number above to request they fix this. Scribe · March 12, 2020 19 people found this helpful. Do you? Yes | Report I have been aware that Pepto-Bismo has no expiration date. I can tell you that after ten years it has not appeared to change, works well without any additional side effects. As one who suffers from Irritable Bowel Syndrome, I use a lot of Pepto-Bismo and place it in many places for when I'm home and traveling, hence I find stuff I've had for a long time. Yes | Report I am also concerned about the lack of expiration date on the package that I just received, especially because the package looks old. The bottom of the box is printed with labels for a LOT number and an EXPiration date. But there is no information there! I am concerned that this is a counterfeit product. On the bottom of the box, it has printed white letters, well away from "LOT" and "EXP" at the bottom. Mine is "NO 21 (L) 93384 354K0". This could mean that it expires November 2021? And the numbers after that are the lot number (L)? That's my best guess. In any case, they didn't do a great job here. The expiration date is on the bottom of the box, on the flap, under "EXP. DATE".Dangerous as a healthcare professional?
