Biography

Daddy Pig is the father of Peppa and George. He is the husband of Mummy Pig, and the son-in-law of Granny and Grandpa Pig. He is the younger brother of Uncle Pig, and the brother-in-law of Auntie Pig. He is the uncle of Chloe and Baby Alexander. He works as a structural engineer, as revealed in Muddy Festival, and in an office alongside Daddy Rabbit and Mummy Cat. He also works as a building inspector, as seen in The New House, and as a concrete tester, as seen in Long Train Journey. He also plays soccer on the Daddy's Football Club in his free time. He first appeared in the pilot episode Muddy Puddles.

Personality

Daddy Pig is a sweet, caring, hyperactive, fun-loving, and clumsy dad. He always supports what Peppa and George want, and goes out of his way to make sure they feel special. He does not tell his children when he disagrees with something they say or do, as he believes that they are too young to understand. In Father's Day, Peppa and George make a ketchup-flavored cake for him, which he pretends to like, and in When I Grow Up, he supports Peppa's dream of being a puddle jumping champion when she grows up. He consoles Peppa in Jumping Stick when she becomes frustrated over not being able to properly use his jumping stick. He is almost never strict with Peppa, but this can be seen in a few episodes. In Bicycles, he has a talk with Peppa when she accidentally crashes into his giant pumpkin, and in The Market, he initially says no to her when she asks him to buy her a singing fish toy.

Daddy Pig almost never gets agitated or upset, even in the worst possible situations, such as when a wasp was chasing him in Picnic, when he had to run alone in Fun Run, and when Grampy Rabbit forgot to pick him up for a picnic in The Little Boat. He does, however, get agitated when he cannot properly locate something on a map or when he loses his glasses. He is often clumsy and does not think about the consequences of his actions, as seen in Horsey Twinkle Toes, when he rides Peppa and George's toy horse down the hill and gets hurt after it crashes. His antagonistic side is shown in Chloe's Puppet Show, when he gossips in front of Peppa and George about Uncle Pig and how is snoring is annoying and obnoxious. Daddy Pig does not take warnings seriously and often believes that whichever way he is doing something is correct. He likes to call himself an expert at everything, even when he knows he is not. In Delphine Donkey, he thought the language French was "nonsense" when he heard it over the phone.

Appearance

Main Outfit

Daddy Pig has dark brown facial hair, dark pink lips, and pink cheeks. He wears a teal green shirt, and black glasses. He is the first pig in the family to wear glasses, the second pig being Auntie Dottie. He wears black shoes. In The Time Capsule, he is shown as a child in a flashback with the same color shirt and glasses, albeit without his facial hair.

Winter Outfit

Daddy Pig wears a lime green hat, lime green mittens, lime green boots, and a striped-pattern scarf with lime green and light green colors. He wears a teal green coat, the same color as his classic shirt.

Puddle-Jumping Outfit

The top half of Daddy Pig's puddle jumping outfit is dark blue with stars, and the bottom half of his outfit is red with stars as well. The blue and red colors are split by a golden belt. Daddy Pig wears this outfit with golden boots with a star on them.

Formal Tuxedo Outfit

Daddy Pig wears this outfit on dates with Mummy Pig. He wears a black top hat with a buttoned-down coat over his white shirt. He wears black pants and shoes with this outfit. This outfit is considered to be Daddy Pig's most formal outfit.

Pajama Outfit

Daddy Pig wears a white buttoned-down shirt with thin blue stripes to bed. The night shirt is full sleeved and comes with pants.
