The way to get Dah of the Udam to join your village is relatively simple. Relatively. All it requires is for you to overtake an outpost. It contains around 15 or so Udam enemies, two of which will call out around 10-15 more if you’re caught. In short, this mission is a pain in the ass to do so prepare for either a long and annoying fight or a huge cheese. I prefer the latter option. Regardless, in order to get up the cliff that the outpost sits upon, you’ll have to grapple up from below the cliff. Once you’ve done that, you have three options:

  1. Try and take out the two alert Udam enemies before all the other ones notice you, which to my knowledge is either impossible or either really annoying to execute.
  2. Try and take out all the Udam enemies, including the ones that are called to the area through the alert Udam enemies, which will be incredibly hard to do as the large amount will easily either overwhelm you or you will run out of ammo before you are able to do so.
  3. Cheese the hell out of the enemies by going to an area where they don’t follow and snipe them from a distance.

As my manner of speech suggests, I will be guiding you on how to do the third one efficiently with a rideable animal (or you can do it by foot but I didn’t want to see if I could do it or not). Basically what you need to do is as soon as you get up to the outpost area, call your rideable creature. Get on them and then head into the Udam outpost. After that, you need to take a right and then head straight upwards into a very darkly lit cave which leads to another cave that goes to the north-eastern part of Oros, as indicated by the two images above. Small note here, if you die due to the poison fumes, don't panic, the game will place you right outside of the poison cave and nothing of value will really be lost. Now, you can sit in the edge of the cave behind cover while not being hit by the enemies, and the enemies will never go past the hut. This means you can do stupid things like throw bombs and any weapons you have at the enemies. For Dah specifically, you’ll want to throw some Two-Handed Clubs because they do good chunks of damage to him. Any and all enemies that spawn will eventually come to the side of the hut or the area in front of the cave, which means you’ll easily be able to kill them that way. Once you’ve done that, Dah will be brought to your village and you will have added him to your specialist roster!
