Garland (hand) has been cleared to play Thursday against the Timberwolves, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Garland is questionable for Thursday's game against Minnesota with a right hand contusion.

Scouting Report

Entered the NBA with only five NCAA games under his belt, thanks to a knee injury sustained while at Vanderbilt University. His ability to handle the ball in tight quarters separates him from others. Has a high basketball IQ and displays the talent to both score and distribute evenly at the highest level. While he profiles as a combo guard capable of doing a little bit of everything on the court, his lack of height (6'2") limits him defensively. Therefore, he must master his passing ability and learn the intricacies of the point guard position in order to maximize output at the highest level.

Long Range Potential: Talented, versatile point guard with good upside.
