20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:36am [SOLVED] How to Exit Blighttown Beat the Gaping Dragon pretty easily but she poisoned me. I didn't really understand what that meant until I got to the first bonfire in Blight Town and I'm getting a huge 'Weapon At Risk' and 'Armor at Risk' message. I'm taking much more damage than normal and my weapon is far weaker. I decided I'd leave Blight Town and backtrack all the way back to Firelink Shrine to try to get something to repair my gear but I can't find my way out of Blight Town from the first bonfire. I keep going around in circles. Am I missing an obvious ladder or something? Last edited by nealiosis; 20 Mar, 2014 @ 2:00pm < > Showing 1-15 of 20 comments

20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:40am Did you not buy a repair box or get some repair powder? If not then climb all the way down and take the short cut back out. #1

20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:50am Well actually if your at the very first bonfire then you shouldn't be to far from being able to get out the way you came in at. #3

20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:52am Here is a video showing how to get out of blight town and back to the depths (granted its starting from the bottom) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbtZNA9D4dA #4

20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:56am When you get back out go to the undead male merchant and buy the repair box and at least 10 repair powders, the more the better but still 10 would be enough to last you for the entire game if your smart about repairing everytime your at a bonfire. #5

20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:57am Broken weapons can still be repaired to full. Their stats drop to nothing but you should be able to have them on the 2nd weapons slots for when you need a fast kill.Till you get to a smithy, you're kinda living in the mess you made from not thinking about weapon care. Did you also not get the Bottemless Box and store extra stuff in there? Or did you just drop everything instead of saving for later? #6

20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:59am Yeah, you're kind of SOL. Either climb back up to the depths, running as fast as you can, or head to the bottom of blighttown, find the bonfire on ground level, and use the wooden elevator to get up.If you had bought the smith and armor box, you could have used those to upgrade your equipment once and that would also repair them. #7

20 Mar, 2014 @ 12:00pm This just goes to show always buy the repair box and some repair powder first lol #8

20 Mar, 2014 @ 12:01pm Since you are going outside, you should consider upgrading you weapon to +6 and also buying the repair, weapon and armor boxes from andree. #9

20 Mar, 2014 @ 1:20pm Wasn't poison - it was the acid attack, and that thing can be nasty. As the other users said, get the repair box, and get to the blacksmith. Your best bet (from the bottom of Blighttown) is this: get to the wooden wheel, ride it up. Take the first ladder you see, and keep climbing. You'll get to a long tunnel after taking 3-4 ladders, putting you in the Valley of the Drakes. Dodge the barbarians on the way, and take the plank bridge into New Londo Ruins. Then, just take the elevator to Firelink. In New Londo, it's in the tower next to the one you just came out of. This is, assuming the gate isn't locked. If it is, Gwyn help you. From Firelink, ride the shortcut elevator to the Parish, and Andre can fix you right up. From the middle of Blighttown, alternately, backtrack to the Depths, which arguably isn't a very difficult area if you can avoid the rats. Take the aqueduct shortcut back to Firelink, then go to the Parish. Keep in mind you can run past EVERYTHING, if you dodge carefully enough and take off enough of your equipment (which isn't helping you much anyway right now). Good luck, and Praise the Sun! #14

20 Mar, 2014 @ 1:24pm Hey, wait - you don't even need to go to the Parish. There's a blacksmith in New Londo, if you get there. He's down a staircase far to the right, inside a prison cell. Rupert of Vinheim, I think. #15 < > Showing 1-15 of 20 comments Per page: 1530 50 DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die Edition > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:36amPosts: 20

So I'm going to have to fight my way down to the bottom with a sorry-ass dagger and a wooden shield because my +3 weapon and armor are not going to make it much farther. #2

I guess I'll find out if I can make it out of BlightTown alive; getting my a$$ pwned at the moment with this wimpy dagger and shield. #11
