Now finally fighting like week with dyes, i have to ask.. How in the nine hells i get darker colors into canvas/flags/bodys/sails etc?I mean, when you try to make example a black stipe it's more like light gray and looks more transparent than a dye. even after you close the preview. I've seen some very distinguishable colors in paints, and i wonder how the f* they do it?.. all i get is this transparent nonsense with most colors.. :steamsalty: < > Showing 1-3 of 3 comments Quxudais View Profile View Posts 23 Jun, 2016 @ 11:13pm Dyes are (from what I can tell) applied as a tint filter, unfortunately this means some colors just dont work well. Dark dyes like blacks barely show up at all on dino skin or some building parts and lighter dyes like white/silver/grey make almost no visible difference on stone surfaces.I made a post about this a very very long time ago, suggesting we be able to make "thicker" dyes by adding a made color to another ingredient. Still wish we'd get that, it'd be nice if paint was a little more reliable across all surfaces. #1 dragonsphotoworks View Profile View Posts 23 Jun, 2016 @ 11:14pm might be dye your useing. imma take it havent googled the dye recipie list on google yet? also if your gamma is high it bleeds colors out so look light. otherwise... no ideaEDIT: ya i wish had better dyes also Last edited by dragonsphotoworks; 23 Jun, 2016 @ 11:15pm #2 Retrotus View Profile View Posts 23 Jun, 2016 @ 11:25pm Quxudais, ok thanks, i had no clue about that tint stuff.. they indeed need to do something about dyes :( #3 < > Showing 1-3 of 3 comments Per page: 1530 50 ARK: Survival Evolved > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 23 Jun, 2016 @ 11:09pmPosts: 3 Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
