She shot to fame with some of her remarkable roles as Pris Stratton in the science fiction thriller ‘Blade Runner’, the mermaid Madison in the romantic comedy ‘Splash’, Roxanne Kowalski in the romantic comedy ‘Roxanne’, and assassin Elle Driver in action film ‘Kill Bill.’Critics have also praised the award-winning actress for her performance in the Netflix series ‘Sense8’. She is a strong supporter of independent cinema, and has produced and acted in many such films. Daryl is a campaigner for the environment and animal rights. She lives in a house powered by solar energy, and drives a car that runs on biodiesel fuel. She also hosts a weekly video blog, where she suggests sustainable solutions for environmental issues. She has been arrested several times while supporting environmental causes. She has made a documentary on human trafficking and had traveled to South East Asia to document this social issue. She also makes efforts to raise awareness against sexual slavery. In 1995, Empire magazine listed her in the 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History.
