The “Deadliest Catch” fleet returns for its 18th season Tuesday night, April 19, at 8 p.m. on Discovery. Filmed this past winter, the show follows the captains and crews on the Bearing Sea as they deal with weather and the pandemic. Captains returning this year include Jake Anderson, Keith Colburn, Sig Hansen, Josh Harris and Sean Dwyer. New to the fleet this year is Rip Cartson and the Patricia Lee. John Hillstrand and the Time Bandit will also be back.

Season 18 begins with the episode “The King is Dead,” in which Sig and John try to rally the captains of the fleet following the announcement that the king crab fishery will be closed for the season. It is followed up by the season’s first action in “Long Live the Kings!” which sees the captains take different approaches to saving their seasons and also sees the return of a familiar face to the Cornelia Marie.
