Deadpool's Face Did Eventually Heal In Marvel Comics - Screen Rant

The Deadpool films are filled with funny gags reflecting the weirdest things about Deadpool's body and one of the most popular ongoing gags is how Deadpool's face resembles an avocado. But unlike the films, Deadpool does eventually receive his old face back in the Marvel Comics... and it's absolutely stunning.
In the first Deadpool film - shortly after Deadpool escapes the Weapon X program and Ajax's grasp, he meets with his buddy Weasel and reveals his scarred face. Even though Weasel promises Deadpool that his lover Vanessa will love him no matter how he looks, he can't deny telling him, "You look like an avocado had sex with an older, more disgusting avocado." This hilarious gag continues in Deadpool 2 as Domino sees Deadpool's face for the first time and realizes how disgusting it looks. Deadpool's disgusting face is a gag that originates in the Marvel Comics and unlike the Deadpool films, the comics give the Merc With A Mouth his gorgeous face back.

In Tom Chu, Georges Jeanty, Jon Holdredge, Dexter Vines, Frank Tieri, and Dave Sharpe's Deadpool #57, Sabretooth - who is Wolverine's iconic enemy convinces Deadpool to join a revamped Weapon X program. Once Deadpool and Sabretooth arrive at the lab that administers the tests to physically enhance individuals, Deadpool meets the man in charge of the Weapon X program who just so happens to have a scarred face of his own - thanks to being scratched by Wolverine's claws. At first, Deadpool argues with the man in charge about the gruesome old methods of the original Weapon X program. But the man in charge reassures him the new serum and tests are safe and will help his healing factor - which allows him to suffer extreme deaths and yet, somehow survive. After being given a sample of the new Weapon X serum, the man in charge chops off Deadpool's arm with an ax and within seconds his arm grows back. Next, after seeing his arm is no longer scarred like before, he immediately takes a look at his face in the mirror and discovers... he's got his old handsome face back.
After taking a look at his handsome face in the mirror, he considers what the man in charge says about how his body parts can grow back faster than ever and looks down at his crotch. Without hesitation, Deadpool grabs the ax from the man in charge and considers swinging at his crotch... just to see how how fast it will grow back. Luckily, the man in charge stops Deadpool before he takes a swing and tells him the sample will only last another hour - giving him just enough time to consider his offer of undergoing the tests and receiving the full serum.
Knowing fear and indecision are not Deadpool's strong suits, it shouldn't come as a surprise to fans that he does undergo the tests and receives the full serum in Deadpool #58. Considering there's rumors suggesting the film Deadpool 3 is already in development, maybe Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool will receive his handsome face back too.
