Delete your page

There are two ways to delete your page:

• Delete the page on the page itself

• Delete the page from the Site page library

Delete the page on itself

You can delete your page in the Page details pane on the page itself. 

1. Ensure the page is in edit mode by selecting Edit at the top right of the page.

2. On the command bar, select Page details.

3. Select Delete page.

4. Confirm or cancel your deletion in the confirmation box that appears by selecting Delete or Cancel.

Delete a page from the Site pages library

You can also delete your page through your SharePoint Site pages library under Site contents. 

1. Go to the SharePoint site where your page is.

2. Select Site Contents from Settings in the upper right. Then select Site pages. ​​​​​​​

3. Select the page, and then select the ellipses (...) to the right of the selected page.

   

4. Select Delete.

   

   Note: Deleting a page also removes any site navigation to it (such as the side navigation of the site). However, it will not automatically remove any other direct links to the page (such as an embedded link in another part of the site) - these must be removed manually.

If you find that you need to restore the page after you've deleted it, you can restore it from the recycle bin.

Note: Deleting and then restoring a site page does not affect its version history. If you delete and then restore a page, you can still access its version history.
