  • The upcoming anime installment will focus on the Entertainment District Arc
  • "Demon Slayer" has made an appearance at the Tokyo Olympics

Following the official announcement of the hit anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge's manga creation, fans would be excited to know about the release schedule of "Demon Slayer" Season 2 and where they could watch the animated adventures of Kamado Tanjiro, his sister Nezuko and their friends.

The second season of the hit demon-slaying series, also known as "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," Entertainment District Arc will also be released in English-speaking regions and other areas outside Japan. Fans in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, New Zealand and Australia will be able to watch the upcoming season with an English dub through Funimation.

In July, the official Twitter account of "Demon Slayer" confirmed the Entertainment District Arc will stream on Funimation this year. As for the anime's English dub, rumors have it that the team landed a deal with Toonami and it could premiere later this year or in the early part of 2022.

Toonami has done the same with hit anime series like "Promised Neverland" and "Sword Art Online." Based on its previous release pattern, it would take between six and eight months before fans could watch the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc" Season 2 English dub on Funimation.

This means the English dub could stream sometime in June or July 2022, which aligns with the material of the Entertainment District Arc. The narrative features only 30 chapters, which will easily fit into 12 to 13 episodes.

If the anime stretches to a couple of hours, fans could expect the English dub to become available sometime in September next year. Since nothing has been officially confirmed yet, these details are highly speculative.

Meanwhile, the Tokyo Olympics finally concluded this weekend and the host country made sure to highlight one of its most successful manga and anime series –"Demon Slayer." During the closing ceremony, dancers performed a spectacular cover version of the anime's opening theme.

Given its phenomenal success not only in Japan but all over the world, it was not a surprise to see "Demon Slayer: Kmetsu no Yaiba" making an appearance at the Olympics.
