Destiny 2’s Iron Banner features exclusive weapons, emblems, and several other rewards, but above all, it also offers an armor set featuring an intrinsic perk and other rank bonuses. This guide covers the latest Iron Banner armor set in Destiny 2, as well as every other set released so far.

Iron Banner schedule

Iron Banner returns to Destiny 2 for the first time in months on September 16, 2025, and will be available for one week.

  • Iron Banner starts on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 10 AM PDT
  • Iron Banner ends on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10 AM PDT

Iron Banner armor (Ash & Iron)

🚨 Bungie just made a major announcement! The previously announced Ancient Majesty armor for the Eververse, has been moved to Iron Banner!

In the short term, today we will be changing the visuals of Iron Banner’s Iron Beryllium set to instead use those of the upcoming Ancient Majesty set, shown here. The Iron Beryllium set’s original visuals will be available in a later update. The Ancient Majesty set will now become the Iron Banner set and will not be made purchasable on the Eververse store.

With Ash & Iron, the featured Iron Banner armor is a returning set from Year 1 of Destiny 2: The Iron Chromate Set. This reprised set features the following armor bonuses:

  • Two Pieces: Vigilant Watch: As your health gets lower, your weapons going increased stability and handling. Weapon final blows while your shields are depleted heal you.
  • Four Pieces: Iron Conviction: When your shields become broken, you gain increased ammo generation, flinch resistance, and damage resistance against nearby combatants for a short time. Final blows extend this effect.

You can acquire these Year 1 Iron Banner Ornaments by focusing them at Lord Saladin’s in exchange for 3 Iron Engrams and 10,000 Glimmer per armor piece.

Be aware that you’ll need to spend Synthweave to use these as ornaments (which is a shame for those who actually earned the ornaments back in 2017).

An exclusive Iron Banner Exotic perk

Every armor piece of the Companion set comes with the following perk: Iron Lord’s Pride.

Grants a chance to receive an Enhancement Prism as a reward at the end of Iron Banner matches. Each piece of armor you are wearing with this perk on it increases the chance of receiving an Enhancement Prism, to a maximum of 4 items.
