Crash Aleksis’s Party

Video Walkthrough - Devouring of the Lambs

Both Wenjie and Aleksis’s leads crossover, so you’ll actually crash his party while following her main leads. However, if you have yet to follow Wenjie's leads, here’s how to get to Aleksis's:

When you’re ready, head for the tunnel exit on the right.

DEATHLOOP 20210912142728.jpg

From here, duck underneath the boards covering the top of the door to head out into Updaam. Two Eternalists will be chatting ahead of you, along with a third that will run up from down the road. If you want to ignore them, then use Shift to move up onto the railing on the left. Then, scale it over to the rooftop, then over to behind the Candy Bar sign.

From here, hop across to the lamp post to scan the streets around you. Once they’re clear, use Shift to hop down and keep moving up. Once you see The Library up ahead, use Shift to move up again onto the sign on the building to your right.

DEATHLOOP 20210912143241.jpg

Here, you can slowly make your way around the building to the opposite side. However, be wary of a sniper on top of the speaker. If you have a silenced weapon, quickly take them out, otherwise move quietly.

Now, move all the way around to the other side and use Shift to drop down behind the next building. Then, hop over the wall and make your way over to the cliffs. From here, drop down towards where you exit out of the tunnels in the afternoons. One Eternalist will be by a van and another will be by some fireworks right across from the van. If you’re quiet enough, you can ignore them both and move down the path the opposite way.

As you move under the first archway, a body will drop from above you. You’ll also notice an Eternalist ahead of you looking out at the water and another on your left. You can take them on separately, or use Nexus, then take a right to keep following the cliffs along the side of the path and up the stairs.

As you approach the large Dorsey Manor, keep in mind there are three different ways to infiltrate Aleksis' party - depending on the powers you have, and where you want to end up: The Front Door, the Cliff Window, and the Cellar.

Entry Method 1 - Front Door

There’ll be a sensor up ahead you’ll have to hack with your Hackamajig along with a turret right next to it. There are two more turrets down this next alleyway beyond this sensor as well. However, you can’t walk straight towards them. Instead, use the cliffs on the outside to get a good angle on them while hacking them. Then, use Shift to move into this alleyway and keep moving up.

DEATHLOOP 20210912144730.jpg

This will lead you right into Dorsey Square. Make sure to keep right and continue moving up the cliffs. You’ll hear some party guests trying to enter along with a turret moving right by the entrance. Stay hidden and hack the turret. It’ll take care of all of the Eternalists by this door so you can move through.

DEATHLOOP 20210912144953.jpg

Then, once you’re officially inside, take a right and stick by the wall near the parked cars. There are two Eternalists down here, but plenty more on the roof and in the party that will flock your way if you make a wrong move. So, it’s best to go in quietly.

DEATHLOOP 20210912145352.jpg

There’ll be some weird white sculptures ahead of you with flat pieces coming out. Use Shift to jump on top of the one closest to you, then the one across from you, and over to the roof. You’ll soon come across an open window on the other side of the roof. Conveniently, this is Aleksis’s room, so hop inside with Shift.

Entry Method 2 - The Cliff Window

DL AleksisWindowPath.jpg

If you don't want to raise any alarms getting in, you can skirt along the cliffs under the main path to the front door to keep moving north until the cliffs fall away.

DL CliffWIndow.jpg

Looking out along the walls of the manor, you can spot an open window with a small ledge just under it. It's impossible to reach by normal means, but if you have the Shift Slab (or are feeling lucky with the double jump trinket), you can hop across and crawl through the window to come out at the back of the first courtyard, and use the large poles around you to climb up to the roof.

Entry Methord 3 - The Cellar

DL Cellar1.jpg

By far the easiest and most painless method of entry, you can find a hidden cellar entrance on the opposite end of Dorsey Manor from the main entrance. Move along the cliffs past the fireworks shop to spot a large section of screens along the manor walls, and under them is a small opening leading to a cellar room.

It's here you can eavesdrop on the fact that Aleksis loves his chocolate beer which is on tap via the barrels in the main cellar next to you, and if something were to happen to them, he's likely to get pissed off..

You can also move along the outer walls from the cellar, pass by two Eternalists on the balcony, and keep climbing along the cliffs to find a row of windows you can infiltrate that lead right next to the dance floor.

Search for Clues

You can dig around his room, especially at his Minicom, to learn more about where he’s at. However, the best way to learn more is out at the party. Thankfully, the middle window in his room will provide you a sneaky way to see what’s going on below.

Use Shift to move out onto the fixtures hanging from the ceiling and listen in below. In this room, you’ll hear several different Wolves coming up on stage and explaining their evil deeds to try and wow the crowd. However, if they fail to impress, they’re dropped into a meat grinder at the push of a button. Gross.

Enact the Plan

...but that meat grinder could actually come in handy. Even better, you can easily access it from where you’re hiding. Use Shift and move quickly behind the sign on the right. Here, you’ll find that big red button. All you have to do now is wait for Aleksis to take the stage. If you finished Wenjie's lead before this one, it'll be very easy to pick out his voice from the crowd. However, if you're still unsure, we have two other ways to find out who he is:

  • Put On His Music Mix
  • Cut Off the Alcohol Supply

Put On His Music Mix

Up in Aleksis's bedroom, he has a controller in the bathroom with numbers on it. This is Aleksis's personal music mix, and if you put it on in the sound booth on the floor below, he'll come out and start dancing to it.

IMG 7831.JPG

Keep the numbers in mind (they're randomized for each playthrough) and head out of his bedroom doors to the main area. Shift to the light fixture, then over to the sound booth.

IMG 7832.JPG

Put in the same numbers you found upstairs, then head back out to the light fixture. You'll soon hear Aleksis start yelling below and he'll start dancing.

IMG 7833.JPG

When this happens, the other Eternalists in the room will back off and let him take center stage. This is your perfect moment to tag him and only him to make sure you don't lose track of him. You can make a big scene and kill him here, or go for a sneakier route now that you know which person is the main target.

DL Aleksis1.jpg

If you want to kill him via the Meat Grinder, make sure you switch off of his personal track before leaving, or he'll keep dancing and forget to go to the main event next door.

Kill Aleksis (Alcohol Lure Method)

Another way to figure out who Aleksis is is through his alcohol supply in the basement. In order to reach it, though, you need to take a slightly different route (unless you infiltrated the manor through the cellar, in which case the first door near you leads to the kitchen and cellar.

From where you are behind the sign near the stage, move to the opposite end of the room and use Shift to hop over the banister on the upper floor. Then, head outside the door back here.

IMG 7824 2.JPG

Follow the stairs on the right all the way down. However, before heading through the door on the right, hop over the broken-down wall on the left and follow the wooden planks back a bit to a hole in the wall. Crawl through here, and listen to the conversation going on between the two Eternalists in the next room.

They'll be discussing Aleksis's favorite chocolate beer. Boy, what a shame it would be if he didn't have access to it. Now, head back outside and follow the wooden planks to head back to that door.

IMG 7820.JPG

Crouch down and move through this door, then through the door on the right. Here, you'll see the two Eternalists you overheard before. Take them down quietly, so as to not draw attention.

DEATHLOOP 20210913094536.jpg

Now, head down the set of stairs in here. There will be several lasermines and landmines down here, so make sure to disable them before causing too much distraction. Then, turn each wheel to stop the alcohol supply to the room above. It won’t take long before you hear Aleksis throw a fit.

DEATHLOOP 20210913094549.jpg

Come back up the stairs and Shift up to the levels above you, as he'll come in this room to check on it. Unfortunately, several Eternalists can also follow him in. At the very least, like with the dancing, you can tag him to stalk and kill him later.

DL AleksisCellar.jpg

You can also wait in the rafters above the cellar as he goes to fish around for some bottles of beer, and eventually his entourage may leave - making him an easy target to kill all on his own, with no witnesses.

Kill Aleksis (Meat Grinder Method)

DL AleksisMeatGrinder.jpg

If you use the meat grinder, you won't get his Karnesis Slab, weapons, Trinkets, or Residuum. You will get the Alpha Burger achievement, though. Using Nexus instead between him and Eternalists at the party will get you the Slab, six Exemplar Weapon Trinkets, four Sleek Personal Trinkets, two LIMP-10 golden guns, and +11500 Residuum. That's best done after cutting off his alcohol supply.

If you want to take him out with the meat grinder, which is the quickest way without causing too much of a scene, head back over to the big red button and wait for him to take the stage. Once he does, you can hit the button to take him out.

Note that killing him via the Meat Grinder will still put everyone in the room on alert (since he was not supposed to die), but as long as you remain hidden, you can jump up and take the ceiling light platforms to escape via the audio booth at the back of the top floor.

Party Animal

Although there are numerous ways to kill Aleksis, the most efficient way for the final loop is through the meat grinder, or trying to isolate him in the cellar. Keep this in mind going forward.
