When we told our girls yesterday that they were going to have anther sister they asked what we were going to name her. We hadn't really thought about it and my 6 year old suggested the name Mariah. My husband and I loved it but want to spell it differently. He suggested Mariyah and my mom suggested Miriya or Miriyah but my husband thinks people won't be able to pronounce it if there's an "i" instead of an "a" after the M. It's different than the traditional spelling, yet will not leave people wondering how it should be pronounced. I know a couple of "Mariahs" One spelled Muriah and the other spelled MeryahYYoTeachI like the traditional spelling the best. It's both the one people won't question and I think it looks nicest. Out of the other options I think Prana's suggestion looks the best.mmiss_amy@YoTeach,
