Dividends | Robinhood

We automatically process your dividends. Cash dividends are credited as cash to your brokerage account by default. To enable dividend reinvestment (DRIP), complete the steps in Dividend reinvestment. If you have it enabled, you can choose to automatically reinvest the cash from dividend payments from a dividend reinvestment-eligible security back into individual stocks or ETFs.

To view your received and scheduled dividends:

  1. Go to Account (person icon)
  2. In the app, select Menu (3 bars) or select Settings (gear)
  3. Select HistoryDividends

If you have dividends that are scheduled but haven’t been paid yet, they’ll show as Pending. Note that Robinhood pays dividends when the issuer processes the dividend payments, so your dividend may be delayed if the issuer payment is delayed.

You’ll find the scheduled date and amount listed next to the stock’s symbol. Recently-paid dividends are listed just below pending dividends, and you can select any listed dividend for more information.

To qualify for a company's dividend payment, you must have purchased shares of the company's stock before the ex-dividend date. You can continue to hold your shares after the ex-dividend date or you can sell them on the ex-dividend date and still qualify for the dividend payment.

You won’t qualify for the dividend if you buy shares on the ex-dividend date or later, or if you sell your shares before the ex-dividend date.

Dividends that are paid in foreign currency won’t show as pending, and only appear in History after your brokerage account has been credited.
