Some of the drivers have reported having worn diapers during the races. It’s a matter of choice for the drivers as it is an extra layer that the driver has to wear.

In an interview with Fox Sports, Dale Earnhardt jr. said “if you can hold it, you hold it. If you can’t hold it, you go.”

“It’s not too often that this happens because the car is real hot and you sweat a lot and you basically lose all your water weight through sweating, So your bladder never fills up.”

Before the start of the race, drivers keep a strict tab of what they are consuming and drinking. The drivers empty themselves right before the start of the race so that there are no problems in between the race. The drivers are quite anxious all through the race and when it’s a matter of seconds they don’t take chances of having breaks in between races for nature’s call.
