A dollar bill heart origami is a fun way to give a gift of money, as it can be made with a bill of any amount.

Make a fun dollar bill heart to give to your grandkids. They will love getting it!

It can be any denomination, and would make a great Valentine gift.

It is easy enough that you could teach older kids how to do it, too.

Here’s how to make one.

Start with a nice crisp one dollar bill.

Fold it in half with George Washington on the outside and sharply crease the center line.

Unfold and fold both edges in to the center line and crease sharply again.

Turn the dollar bill over.

Fold both edges to the center.

Unfold the ends from under the bill, leaving the center folds.

Fold the corner down till the white edge meets the fold line as shown. Crease sharply.

Pull open the triangle and push the center in and crease the edges again.

It should look like this.

Repeat with the other corner.

Turn the dollar bill over again.

Fold the bottom left corner of the center part in till it meets the first fold line.

Repeat with the other side, and the center part should come to a point at the bottom.

Now fold the bottom right corner up till the bottom edge meets the very center fold.

Repeat with the left corner.

Pull the top part of the center flap down

and crease all the folds as shown.

Turn in the white part of the edges at the corner and crease.

Fold down the corner into a triangle.  Crease well.

Repeat with the other corner.

Turn it over and your dollar bill heart origami is finished.

You can make it look like this
