Character Behaviour[]
Personality[]
°o° Donald Duck SO FUN ! - Disneyland Paris
A costumed Donald character performing at Disneyland
Donald's two dominant personality traits are his fiery temper and his upbeat attitude to life. Many Donald shorts start with Donald in a happy mood, without a care in the world until something comes along and spoils his day. His rage is a great cause of suffering in his life. On multiple occasions, it has caused him to get in over his head and lose competitions. There are times when he fights to keep his temper in check, and he sometimes succeeds in doing so temporarily, but he always returns to his normal angry self in the end.
Interaction Tips[]
- Ask him who is #1 (Number One), Donald loves being called #1
- Ask Donald if you can be #2 (number two)
- To be honest, as long as you talk to Donald about Donald and not Mickey he will like you
- Donald loves Daisy, but his clumsiness sometimes hinders their relationship. Give him your best relationship advice about winning Daisy's heart and he'll thank you for it
Costume[]
Head[]
A sight into the female Cast Member playing Donald Duck
Donald's main three distinguishing traits are front and present: orange bill, bright blue eyes, and his large blue sailor hat. The rest of the head is covered in soft white fur to represent duck feathers, while the bill is made of fiberglass/plastic. Vision for the performer is through Donald's large eyes which utilize a sunglasses-like material for the pupils. The performer can see out, but the guests are unable to see in; like a one-way mirror. Secondary vision is through the mouth which is lined with a mesh screen.
Body[]
Donald's body is plump and plush. The same white fur is used with supple padding underneath to give his body proper form. His torso is adorned with the original blue sailor outfit from the original cartoons. Dark blue fabric, two white buttons, and a big red bow-tie to top it all off.
Donald’s legs
As far as the legs are concerned, the performer wears orange tights. Due to height restrictions and softer leg shapes, females are more often cast as Donald in the parks.
Donald’s costume feet.
Donald's orange feet are made of rubber which is light and can easily be moved around in. They feature a thick black rubber shoe sole on the bottom for foot protection and durability for walking. They have interior bracing for the performer's feet. In order to preserve appearance, the tights have a solid ring around the ankles which is tucked into the opening of the costume feet to prevent seeing inside.
