The game with NoCD and Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher has been tested on Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 10, it works fine. For more details check our Guide and Notes

Install & play guide:

• Mount the disc image. You will need the utility for mounting disc image files, like WinCDEmu, UltraISO, Alcohol 52%/Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools Lite
• Install the game (if autorun doesn't work - simply launch the installation from Setup.exe inside the disc)
• Also it is recommended to install DirectX from the disc (if you're using Windows 10 - enable DirectPlay, read this or this guide how to do it)
• After you installed the game - install NoCD, simply copy Simpsons.exe from the archive and put it into game directory, agree to replace original file
• Then install Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher - copy all files from the archive and put in game directory
• Run Lucas Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher.exe, click on "Launch" and play the game. By default Lucas' Launcher сomes with settings enabled for comfortable gaming on modern systems

What is Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher:

• Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher is a mod that fixes many bugs, adds compatibility fixes for modern systems, support for widescreen and high resolutions, Direct3D 9 renderer, MSAA and many other cool features. We highly recommend to use that mod to play the game
• By default Lucas' Launcher сomes with settings enabled for comfortable gaming on modern systems. If you want - you can select the settings you need in Settings tab, there's a lot of options. For example, you can enable MSAA (Anti-aliasing) and DirectX 9 renderer for better graphics, or select various gameplay features
• Also, Lucas' Launcher is a base tool for almost all mods for the game, so you must install it if you want to play with mods

Notes:

• If the installation doesn't start - try to launch Setup.exe in compatibility mode with old version of Windows (98, 2000 or XP)
• NoCD is required for the launch because the game is using SecuROM DRM protection, which doesn't work correctly on modern systems. That NoCD "breaks" DRM protection and allows the game to work on modern systems
• If you plan to play the game without Lucas' Launcher - run the game in compatibility mode with Windows 98/ME and enable compatibility settings like in this guide
• It is recommended to install all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for the correct work of the game
• Also it is recommended to install RAD Video Tools and K-Lite Codec Pack for the correct work of the game
• The game works on DirectX 8, so if you're using Windows 8, 8.1, 10 or 11 - you need to enable DirectPlay: Go to Control Panel, and select 'Programs'. Select 'Turn Windows features on and off', click on 'Legacy Components' and check the box 'DirectPlay'. Select OK, once the installation is done, restart your computer
• If you want - you can run the game on DirectX 9, just select "Direct3D 9" option in Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher (or use d3d8to9 wrapper)
• Also, we recommend to run the game on DirectX 9 if you have any graphical glitches or bugs on DirectX 8 render
• Attention! The game's physics can "break" on framerate more than 60 FPS. Lucas' Launcher has built-in frame limiter, don't disable "Frame limiter" in settings. If you want to play without Lucas' Launcher - make sure to use one of framerate limit utilities
• Lucas' Launcher adds support for XInput controllers, so if you want to play the game with controller - install that mod. If you want - you can change controller bindings in mod settings, check this guide how to do it
