Riichiro Inagaki’s sci-fi manga series, Dr. Stone published its final manga chapter on March 22, 2022, or that was what the author wanted the fans to believe. According to a recent update from the author, we might be getting more of the Dr. Stone series.

The creator of Dr. Stone franchise, Riichiro Inagaki tweeted out earlier today that the work is not finished, which got the fans guessing that the franchise might be coming back. In his Tweet the author said: “Dr. STONE is no longer a weekly serialization, but it’s not over”.
Manga fans will be thrilled if Dr. Stone manga ever makes a comeback, considering the fact that Hunter x Hunter is also coming back to the same magazine as Dr. Stone. It should be pointed out that there will be a special manga chapter releasing in Summer 2022 to commemorate the release of OVA titled Dr. Stone: Ryuusui. The author might be pointing towards that special manga chapter.
Dr. Stone manga fans are quite satisfied with the way things ended in the last chapter of the manga. All the major characters from the series got a good send off, so there is very little room to expand on that story.
Dr. Stone manga is written by Inagaki and drawn by Boichi. They started publishing the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017, and ended the publication exactly after 5 years, on March 2022. TMS Entertainment picked up the manga for an anime adaptation. They have already released two seasons, and a third season is being produced which is scheduled to release in 2023.

tbh it’s such a relief it’s not over yet since it was such a cliffhanger, and I’d like to read about senku and his pals building a civilization on other planets and then building a time machine lols
