Dragon Ball: Every Main Character's Age At The End Of Super - CBR

What does age mean in the Dragon Ball universe? Characters often have the ability to live for centuries, and those that don't are often able to use the Dragon Balls to restore their youth when needed.

That said, one of the things people love about the series is just how much change is present. Goku starts out as a young kid and eventually grows to become a man who has his own kid, who then becomes old enough to have kids of his own. Currently, in the series, the year stands at Age 780, which allows for a decent guess of most of the characters' ages.

12 Gohan – 23

The youngest member of the main cast, Gohan goes between being a main character and a supporting character these days. At the start of Dragon Ball Super, the character is basically a supporting cast member, unable to even go Super Saiyan anymore.

By the end of the series, he’s able to cement his place as one of the strongest members of the team. He’s also one of the youngest, as he was only born a few years after Piccolo, and started Dragon Ball Z at the age of 5.

11 Piccolo – 27

Piccolo is surprisingly one of the youngest characters that could call himself a main character on the show. But it’s worth remembering that the character actually hadn’t been born for much of Dragon Ball.

He was birthed when King Piccolo spat him out when Goku defeated him, and grew to become an adult in roughly three years. Since then, the character has always been several years under the rest in age, though not in terms of wisdom.  He even spends a bit of time as a young father.

10 Goku – 43

Born in the Year 737, Goku started out Dragon Ball as an eleven-year-old. Dragon Ball takes place over the course of roughly seven years, allowing him to participate in three different World Martial Arts tournaments, and by the end, he’s around 18 years old.

By the start of Dragon Ball Z, he’s 25 years old. Between all the time that passed in Dragon Ball Z he goes through his mid-30s, and by the time of Dragon Ball Superr he’s in his early 40s... though for at least eight years of Dragon Ball Z the character is training somewhere else with King Kai.

9 Krillin – 44

Krillin is one of Goku’s oldest friends. The two of them trained under Master Roshi together and very quickly became martial arts experts on par with Roshi himself.

Over time, Krillin even became strong enough to surpass Roshi, even though it didn’t seem like it during the Tournament of Power. The character is about 44 years old, being born in the year 736.

8 Bulma – 47

The lone woman on the cast that still occupies a main character position. Bulma is at least present in most of the arcs, and often serves as an important part of the cast. Certainly she was a vital member in the Goku Black arc, and keeps Whis and Beerus well-fed with expensive delicacies.

Slightly older than Goku, Bulma is 47 years old by the end of Super, but she’s also someone who makes wishes on the Dragon Balls to look five years younger every so often, keeping her youthful appearance.

7 Tien Shinhan – 47

A member of the Crane School, Tien was one of Goku’s first major rivals. The character was an assassin in Dragon Ball, but eventually decided to become an honorable warrior after winning against Goku.

When the character was first introduced he was already in his late teen years facing a Goku that was not quite 14 years old yet. Nonetheless, the two of them were evenly matched thanks to Goku’s superior training.

6 Vegeta – 48

Vegeta is one of the older members of the main cast that isn’t a god of some sort. He was born five years before Goku was, and was already on another planet by the time Goku was sent to Earth.

Because Vegeta and Nappa ignored Frieza’s message to go back to Planet Vegeta, they got to continue living, which meant Vegeta lived long enough to become a Super Saiyan and even fight Frieza himself. Of course, he hasn’t aged since he reached his prime, and won’t any time soon.

5 Master Roshi – 350

The most ridiculous of all the ages. Master Roshi was born centuries before any of the other characters aside from the gods. The trick for him is that he’s discovered ways to extend his life, allowing him to live for centuries.

Thanks to that, despite being old he continues to live, train, and become more powerful. This allowed him to spend decades learning things like the Kamehameha.

4 Beerus – Millions Of Years Old

Beerus is as much a member of the main cast as Goku and the rest, and arguably more so than some of them.

Beerus has been around for millions of years at this point. As a god of Destruction, he’s been around long enough to witness countless planets be created and destroyed.

3 Whis – Millions Of Years Old

Another member of the main cast of Dragon Ball without an age. Arguably Whis is more important than Beerus, because Whis is the reason both Goku and Vegeta have been able to train in the first place, with both of them consistently growing in power.

If anyone is older than Beerus, it’s likely Whis, who was assigned to Beerus as his attendant from the time he took the job. And if Beerus is over 200 million years old, Whis is even older.
