Akira Toriyama’s Shonen manga series, Dragon Ball Super, is reportedly making a return to TV in 2023. According to Twitter user @dbschronicles, the fan-favorite franchise is ready to make a comeback next year, and the story is set after the events of Universe Survival Arc.

Following the release of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero film in Japan, the studio behind the anime, Toei Animation decided to release a new anime film every 2 to 3 years. The next Dragon Ball Super film is already in the pre-production phase. Remember that the recently released DBS: Super Hero film has not been performing well following the changes in animation style. And it is still unclear whether the upcoming anime episodes will have the same CGI animation style or 2d animation.

After the Broly arc, anime fans will be introduced to the universe’s most powerful wizard, Moro “the planet eater” who will be the main villain of “The Galactic Patrol Prisoner” arc.

The Dragon Ball Super anime is based on the manga of the same name, written by Akira Toriyama and drawn by Toyotarou. The series is a direct sequel to the Dragon Ball manga series, and it started publication in Shueisha’s monthly manga magazine, V Jump in 2015.
