Dreaming about shopping is often to do with making choices.

It might be your subconscious telling you that now is the perfect moment to make a decision about something or someone.

Even if you have a lot of choices and even if you feel overwhelmed at present- choosing a path might help you to refocus and find some direction.

It is generally a positive sign as choices are thought to be better than having your path dictated for you. The choices you make have the ability to enlighten you and give you a better sense of self.

On the slip side, it might be linked to your frustrations at having so much choice and not being able to make a decision.  

Another interpretation is that you are concerned with current trends and new technologies.

Depending on how you shopped or what you wanted while you were there could indicate how you feel about materialistic things in your waking life.

If you are driven by material items, the dream could be telling you to seek happiness and joy in other areas of your life- because items will only bring you temporary pleasures.

On the other hand, perhaps you never treat yourself to anything and the dream is a nudge to spoil yourself a little because you deserve it.

One viewpoint is that the shopping is actually you exploring for new ideas, ways of life and people. If you are an open-minded, curious sort of person- this could be your mind reinforcing your need to learn and acquire new skills.

Consider where you were shopping too- a cheaper, discount store, could represent the little choices you need to make. Those that won’t be too detrimental if you make the wrong one.

However, if you were shopping in an expensive store, this could reflect the risker choices you have to make that have a lot riding on them.
