Dryer Permanent Press Cycle
The permanent press cycle is designed for today's modern no-iron fabrics. There is less chance of setting in wrinkles when this cycle is used for permanent press fabrics.
The permanent press cycle tumbles with controlled heat, about 140 degrees F, until the fabric softens and the wrinkles smooth out. The heat is turned off and the clothes tumble for 10 minutes without heat until they have cooled down.
This makes the clothes less pliable and less likely to wrinkle. If the clothing is removed promptly at the end of the cycle, it should need little, if any, ironing.
