Joined Dec 10, 2009 Messages 4,057 Reaction score 0 i am currently sitting with the loreal home dip dye kit on my hair. i have put it in and i'm now waiting the 45mins to rinse it out. was just re-reading the instructions and it says not to throw the gloves away, as you need them for rinsing. i threw them away without thinking because i don't do that with normal dyes :dohh: how could i have possibly kept them on for 45mins anyway, covered in dye :S and it would be impossible to put them back after taking them off! anyway, i don't have anymore gloves, will my hands be okay rinsing it without gloves? If you have a set of washing up gloves I would use them though as if it's a blonde colour they dye could burn your hands :/ smileyfaces

It wont burn when rinsing as the water stops the reaction to the skin, its only when applying. I always get bleach on my hands when doing highlights and your right it does burn for a bit! MissWaiting

I wasn't sure if it would with the rinse as I always wear gloves but I know it can burn coz I have burnt my scalp with going blonde before now after turning ginger patchy blonde ish and had to get it sorted as I had a job interview the next day way awful lol. A
