Sprouse was born on August 4, 1992, in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy. He is the son of Matthew Sprouse and Melanie Wright, both of his parents were English teachers at a private school in Tuscany. He has a younger twin brother named, Cole Sprouse.

Since his childhood, he dreamed about becoming an actor and continue to follow his passion until receiving his degree in acting from the prestigious NYU. In May 2015, he finally graduated from New York University where he majored in performing arts.

His first acting gig was in a 1993 television show Grace Under Fire where he was in one of the important roles as Patrick Kelly. He was just six months old when he starred in the show which aired for the next five years. Eventually, the makers shut down the show in 1998. Soon after this, he starred in a minor appearance in a TV program titled Mad TV.

In 1999, he made his film debut in the science fiction The Astronaut’s Wife where he starred as Twin along with his brother Cole Sprouse. However, the movie didn’t get good reviews and failed at the box office.

Sprouse rose to fame when he played the role of Zack Martin in the American teen sitcom The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its sequel/spin-off The Suite Life on Deck. He received several accolades for his performance.
