Easy Green Banana recipes
Green bananas are a staple food in tropical regions of the world and are used in varied ways like steamed, fried, etc. They are rich in many essential vitamins and minerals. They have an appetite-reducing effect due to their high content of fibre. Also, consuming green bananas can help keep your gut bacteria healthy. It can also increase the production of short-chain fatty acids, which are important for digestive health. The pectin and starch in green bananas can help control your blood sugar levels, especially after meals.
Here are a few easy green banana recipes you can try at home.

Green Bananas Nuggets
1. Cut 2 raw bananas in two halves and boil them. Cut them into pieces and mash them in a bowl.
2. Now add ½ cup grated broccoli, ½ cup grated cheese, 1 tsp. green chilli sauce, 1 tsp. red chilli sauce and mix. Also, add ½ tsp. parsley, 1 tsp. chilli flakes, and salt to taste. Now, mix all the ingredients nicely.
3. Shape them in nuggets.
4. Make a paste by mixing 3 tsp. cornflour and 2 tbsp. water, add salt. Dip the green banana nuggets in corn flour batter and roll them in bread crumbs.
5. Deep-fry the nuggets until they are golden brown. Serve with sauce.

Baked Green Banana Chips
1. Peel 4 green bananas and immerse them in cold water for 10-15 minutes.
2. In the meantime preheat the oven to 180C and arrange a baking tray with parchment paper.
3. Now slice the bananas finely. Add 2 tbsp. coconut oil and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
4. Line the chips on the baking tray and bake for 30-40 minutes turning in between.
5. They are done when they are firm to the touch and start turning brown all over. Remove the tray from the oven and let it cool on the baking tray.

Green Banana Tikki
1. To begin with, pressure-cook 2 green bananas and 2 potatoes with their peel on. Cook them for about 3 whistles or 10 min.
2. Remove from water and allow them to cool. Peel and transfer them to a big bowl.
3. Mash potatoes and banana with a fork or potato masher. Stir in 1 tsp. red chilli powder, 1 tsp. dried mint leaves and salt to taste.
4. Add 1/4 cup Tapioca flour and mix until combined.
5. Grease your hands and shape tikkis. Heat a heavy bottomed pan and add them to it. Cook tikkis for 8-10 minutes on low flame, turning occasionally until evenly browned on both sides.

Green Banana and Fenugreek Dry Curry
1. To begin, pressure cook 2 raw banana for 3 whistles and release the pressure naturally. Peel them and cut into pieces.
2. Heat a heavy-bottomed pan with some oil; add 1 tsp. mustard seeds, 1 tsp. urad dal, and 1 sprig curry leaves. Let it splutter for a few seconds and the dal to turn brown.
3. Add the banana and toss it with 1 tsp. red chilli powder, 1 tsp. turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp. asafetida and 2 tbsp. dried fenugreek leaves. Give it a stir for a few minutes.
4. Turn off the heat and serve.

Green Banana Samosa
1. Take 2 cups wheat flour, 1 tsp. corn flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. baking soda in a bowl, add 1 tsp. hot oil and mix it. Add little water, knead it hard.
2. Peel 2 green bananas and boil them till soft.
3. In a pan on medium flame add 1 tsp. oil with 1/2 tsp. each of mustard and cumin seeds and 1/3 tsp. asafetida. Add 3-4 curry leaves, 1/2 tsp. mint powder, 1/2 tsp. turmeric and 1 tsp. chilli powder.
4. Add boiled bananas and mash them.
5. Now add 1 tsp. garam masala, 1/2 tsp. coriander powder, 1/4 tsp. pepper powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 cup chopped coriander and 1-2 chopped green chillies. Let it cook for 2 min.
6. Make small round balls of the dough. Shape into samosas and fill them.
7. Fry on medium low flame till golden brown.
