Easy How To Make Smores In The Oven Quickly Recipe
Maybe your like
This version of S'mores in the Oven brings all the gooey, melty goodness of campfire-style treats indoors and no bonfire required! Using just graham crackers, chocolate, and large marshmallows, it toasts the marshmallows until golden under the broiler, then sandwiches them with chocolate for that perfect melt. You'll have crisp, chocolatey s'mores in under 10 minutes, ideal for satisfying that sweet craving with very little effort.

I made these a couple of weeks ago with my nephew and he's asked multiple times since when are we gonna make s'mores in the oven again, needless to say, they were a hit.
Now, don't get me wrong I love beach bonfires or campfires and making s'mores but sometimes I just wan't a warm, ooey, gooey, melty chocolatey, s'mores without all the other stuff. These are perfect if your backyard doesn't have a fire pit with an open flame!
This is when a s'mores made in the oven comes into play. So easy, takes 5 minutes, and everyone is in heaven!

I like a golden brown marshmallow but if you prefer good ol' charred then go for it, just leave them under the broiler for an extra minute or two!

Graham Crackers, Chocolate & Marshmallows-That's It!
- Graham Crackers. S'mores are traditionally made with graham crackers but I also love to use other biscuits like Digestive Biscuits, and Biscoff Cookies, Trader Joe's does some great cookies/biscuits there are some almond ones I love to use! You'll need a top and a bottom cookie/biscuit so if you're using graham crackers you'll need 1 full sheet per s'mores to act as the bread of this dessert sandwich.
- Chocolate. This is the key to a great S'mores. Good quality chocolate makes all the difference. I love to use Cadbury's Dairy Milk Chocolate Bars or Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Squares. To switch it up for fun I also like to use Lindt White Chocolate, Cadbury Carmello, Heath Bars, or even Peanut Butter Cups! Good-quality dark chocolate goes perfectly with the sweet marshmallows too. At a push, you could use chocolate chips but they aren't my ideal choice!
- Marshmallows. Just make sure you use the large ones, not mini marshmallows. These days you can even find s'mores marshmallows that are not as thick but wider. I just use the normal large ones.
You could even put some fresh raspberries, blueberries, sliced strawberries, or banana slices on top of the chocolate before the marshmallow!

Broil the Marshmallow Gold

Depending on how close your tray sits to the broiler the marshmallows will brown faster or take longer, but mine usually take 2-3 minutes. If you want to be sure you could do one s'mores first and time it and see how long it takes. Keep in mind with a broiler is it will turn from not cooked to burned very quickly so this is not the type of thing you can walk away from and come back to.

There you have it Smores in the Oven! Easy, peasy! So many variations to make everyone happy! Why not try chocolate graham crackers next or even chocolate chip cookies!

Ingredients
Scale 1x2x3x- 6 Whole Graham Crackers or 12 Digestive Biscuits
- 6 Large Pieces of Chocolate (Milk, Dark, or White or try Peanut butter Cups, Caramel Chocolate)
- 6 Large Marshmallows
Instructions
- Turn the oven on to the broiler setting.
- On an ovenproof tray or baking pan place a graham cracker down, then top it with a piece of chocolate to mostly over the surface of the biscuit, then place a marshmallow on the center. Repeat as many times as you like, do not worry about the top of the smores you will add that once the bottom half has been cooked.
- Place your baking tray in the oven underneath the broiler, shut the door, and check back in a minute. I would guess it will take 2-3 minutes but depending on how close your tray sits to the broiler the marshmallows will brown quicker or take longer. If you want to be sure you could do one smores first and time it and see how long it takes, the thing with a broiler is it will turn from not cooked to burned very quickly so this is not the type of thing you can walk away from and come back to.
- Top the toasted marshmallow with another piece of graham cracker or biscuit and press down slightly to smash the gooey marshmallow and melted chocolate all together. Enjoy immediately.
