They really aren't made for wet weather, so elements like snow and salt can really damage them. The good news is, it's really easy to get your sheepskin boots clean with just a couple of household ingredients and a tiny bit of elbow grease! This easy method for cleaning sheepskin will leave your boots looking and feeling like new again. You won't believe the difference!

Things You'll Need
Cold water
Castile soap
Soft cleaning brush
Soft hair brush
Damp cloth
Step 1: Add 6 cups of cold water to a large bowl or tub.

Wet your cleaning brush and lightly massage the soapy mixture into the sheepskin boot using an up and down motion. Don't be alarmed if you notice some of the color coming off of your sheepskin. The sheepskin will retain its color once dried.

Place your arm inside of the boot to hold it steady while cleaning.

There is no need to rinse the soapy mixture away since Castile soap is vegetable based. The Castile soap will actually help to condition the sheepskin and give it a nice sheen. Simply wipe the boot down gently with a soft cloth to remove any extra moisture.

Tip
Insert towels or pool noodles into your boots while drying to help them maintain an upright shape. This isn't necessary since they will take on the shapes of your legs during wear, but is a good way to help them maintain their shape during storage.

Use a very soft brush to remove any leftover debris and soften the sheepskin using an up and down motion.
