This wikiHow teaches you how to edit your current username on an eBay account, using an internet browser. Ebay's mobile app doesn't allow you to edit your profile and account information, but you can use a browser on all platforms to make changes to your username.

Steps

1. 1 Open eBay in your internet browser. Type https://www.ebay.com into the address bar, and press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.
2. 2 Click your name on the top-left. You'll find your name in the upper-left corner of the page. Hover over or click on it to see your user details in a drop-down window.
   • If you're not automatically signed in, click the Sign in button here, and log in to your account.

3. 3 Click Account settings in the user drop-down. This will open your account settings on a new page.
4. 4 Click Personal Information on the left-menu. Find and click this option on the left-hand side of your account settings. It's the first option under "My Account" on the menu.
5. 5 Click the Edit button next to your username. Your username (User ID) is listed under the "Account Information" heading on the Personal Information page. Click the Edit button across the page to change it.
6. 6 Sign in again to make changes. You'll be prompted to sign in again with your email or username, and your password before you can edit your information.
   • Enter your email or username.
   • Enter your password.
   • Click Sign in.
   • Alternatively, click Sign in with Facebook or Sign in with Google if you're using a linked account.
7. 7 Enter a new username for your account. Click the New eBay username field on the change form, and type the new username you want to use here.
   • You can only change your username once every 30 days.
