This wikiHow teaches you how to edit your Facebook name in order to edit your name on a linked Tinder account. The only way to change your Tinder name is to change your profile name on your Facebook. If your Tinder account is not connected to Facebook, you can only delete your Tinder account and create a new one from scratch, but this will also reset all your profile information and matches.

Steps

1. 1 Open the Facebook app. Changing your Facebook name will automatically sync your new name to your Tinder profile.
   • If you don't have the mobile app, you can open Facebook] in your browser.

9. 9 Enter your password on the Preview page. Tap the password box at the bottom, and enter your Facebook password to confirm changing your name.
10. 10 Tap Save Changes. This is a blue button at the bottom. It will immediately save and display your new name on your Facebook profile.
    • Your Tinder name will be automatically updated with your new Facebook name.
11. 11 Check your new name on Tinder. When you open Tinder, your profile name will be automatically updated with your new Facebook name.
